Why Grades E, D & C Share the Same Statutory Base Wage
Under the NBCPSS Main Collective Agreement, Grades C, D, and E share the same statutory minimum floor before overtime, Sunday double-pay, and the mandatory R8.00/shift night allowance. However, corporate employers and retail sites specifically mandate Grade C for indoor control rooms and higher-responsibility positions.
1 Week Per Grade (3 Weeks for E+D+C)
Conducted at a PSIRA-accredited training academy. Must include SAQA Unit Standard coursework, pocket book administration, and fire safety.
South African ID, 18+ years old, clean SAPS SAP91 fingerprint clearance, and official PSIRA individual registration: R290 registration fee + R70 certificate fee = R360 official PSIRA tariff.
